DA-004
Return without End: Safe
Secure Containment Guidelines:
DA-004 is to be stored within a standard anomalous item containment locker at Site-17. Access is restricted to Level 3 personnel and above. Any testing or usage of DA-004 must be approved by the Site Director. In order to prevent unauthorized use or testing, DA-004 is to be monitored by a CCTV security system. Experimentation or utilization of the anomalous properties requires approval from higher-level personnel.
Description:
DA-004 is a standard-issue paper railway ticket bearing the logo and formatting of the APK Railways network, specifically listing travel from Kirkdale to Apstry, expiring in 2021. However, holders of DA-004 consistently report successful boarding and disembarkation from trains, with no perceptible deviation from ordinary transit procedures.
The ticket is physically indistinguishable from mundane paper tickets issued by APK Railways. It is printed on typical thermal ticket stock and displays standard metadata: travel class, date of issuance, price, and the issuing agent's code. Despite these mundane characteristics, all attempts to invalidate or destroy the ticket have failed.
Any attempt to mark, stamp, or digitally void the ticket results in the immediate disappearance or reversal of the action. Ink, embossing, and digital inputs vanish within seconds, restoring the ticket to pristine condition. DA-004 is universally accepted by all forms of train access control, including outdated turnstiles, modern automated barriers, and manual inspections. Ticket readers, even offline or non-functional units, reactivate temporarily to accept and return DA-004 without logging any usage data.
