DA-007

The Radiating Camera: Variable

Secure Containment Guidelines:

DA-007 is to be contained within a standard radiation-shielded container at all times, with the container placed in a secure, climate-controlled locker. Access to DA-007 is restricted to personnel with Level 3 security clearance or higher and must be accompanied by at least one armed guard and one Level 4 staff member. Any personnel entering DA-007's containment chamber must wear appropriate radiation protection gear.

Description:

DA-007 is a vintage camera believed to have been manufactured in the early 20th century. The camera appears to be made of brass and is decorated with ornate engravings. Despite its age, DA-007 is still functional, and videos can be recorded with it. However, DA-007 emits dangerous levels of ionising radiation, which have been measured at up to ████ millilitres per hour. The source of this radiation is unknown, as there are no radioactive materials present in or around DA-007. The radiation appears to be an inherent property of DA-007 itself

When DA-007 records a video, the resulting footage is not stored on any form of digital or magnetic media. Instead, the footage appears to be imprinted onto the film itself, even though the camera lacks the necessary equipment to do so. The radiation emitted by DA-007 appears to somehow alter the chemical composition of the film, resulting in the video being imprinted onto the physical film stock.

DA-007's anomalous properties make it a significant hazard to human health, as exposure to the radiation it emits can cause severe radiation sickness, cancer, and even death. As such, it is to be kept under strict containment at all times. Research into DA-007's anomalous properties is ongoing, with the aim of determining the source of its radiation emissions and developing ways to neutralise or mitigate them.
