DA-016 - “The Chemical Lake”

Secure Containment Guidelines:
DA-016 is to be contained within a concrete chamber with airtight seals to prevent any leaks of the contaminated water. The chamber is to be constantly monitored for any signs of breach or contamination. Any personnel entering the chamber must wear hazmat suits and undergo decontamination procedures upon exit.
Description:
DA-016 is a small lake located in a remote area of ██████████ National Park. The lake is approximately 100 meters in diameter and has a depth of approximately 10 meters. The water within DA-016 is heavily contaminated with various chemicals, including but not limited to mercury, lead, and arsenic. The source of the contamination is unknown.
DA-016 is home to a species of fish (designated DA-016-A) that has adapted to the toxic environment. DA-016-A specimens appear to be immune to the toxic effects of the water and have developed unique physical characteristics to survive in this environment. These adaptations include thickened scales, elongated gills, and specialized organs to remove toxins from their bodies.
DA-016-A specimens are highly aggressive and have been known to attack and kill anything that enters the water, including other fish and small animals. It is currently unknown how DA-016-A has developed this behavior, as it does not appear to be related to their adaptation to the contaminated water.
DA-016 was discovered during routine testing of water sources within the national park. The contamination and unique ecosystem within DA-016 were deemed a significant threat to public safety, and the area was cordoned off by Foundation personnel. Any attempts to remove DA-016-A from the lake have been met with extreme aggression and resistance.
Addendum:
Initial testing of the water within DA-016 has revealed that the chemicals present are consistent with those found in industrial waste. Further investigation is ongoing to determine the source of the contamination and any potential hazards to the surrounding area.
