DA-017 - "The Cloning Bear"

Secure Containment Guidelines:
DA-017 is to be contained in a standard humanoid containment chamber at Site-██. The chamber should be furnished with a single bed, a desk with writing materials, and a chair. Any personnel entering DA-017's chamber must wear Class D hazmat suits to prevent contamination.

DA-017 is to be fed a diet of fruits, vegetables, and meats, and must be provided with a fresh change of clothing every day. Any clothing or objects that come into contact with DA-017 must be disposed of in an incinerator to prevent the spread of DA-017's anomalous effects.

Description:

 DA-017 is a teddy bear made of light brown plush fabric with a red bowtie. The bear is approximately 60 cm in height and is capable of generating clones of itself. When DA-017 comes into contact with a non-living object, it will generate a clone of itself using the materials it comes into contact with.

Each clone generated by DA-017 possesses a unique personality and set of memories, independent of the original DA-017. The clones will emerge from DA-017's body, fully formed and clothed in a copy of the original DA-017's outfit.

DA-017's clones are friendly and cooperative towards Foundation personnel, but have a tendency to act in a mischievous manner. The clones are capable of independent thought and decision-making, and will often engage in activities such as drawing, writing, and playing games.

DA-017's clones will remain active for a period of approximately 24 hours, after which they will begin to exhibit signs of physical deterioration and will eventually disintegrate into dust. Any objects created by DA-017's clones will similarly disintegrate when the clones expire.

Addendum:

 DA-017 was recovered from a toy store in ██████████, where it was reportedly purchased by a young girl. The girl's family reported that the bear began generating clones soon after it was brought into their home. The Foundation was alerted to DA-017's anomalous properties after several of the clones escaped the family's home and were sighted in public areas. All clones were successfully retrieved and DA-017 was contained without incident.
