DA-043 - “Heartford Grove Bus Stop”
Object Class: Medium
Secure Containment Guidelines:
Heartford Grove Bus Stop is now Not in Use, and is sectioned off. Another bus stop has been built further up the road which does not pose any anomalous effects.
Description:
DA-043 is a bus stop located at the corner of Birchwood Lane and Heartford Grove in the town of Heartford, ██████. It closely resembles a typical bus stop found in urban areas, consisting of a raised concrete platform with a sheltered area and a metal bench. The bus stop lacks any identification or branding, and no official records or documents regarding its construction or installation exist.
DA-043 exhibits anomalous properties related to the display board located within the sheltered area. The display board is made of a transparent, unbreakable material and displays a schedule for bus arrivals and departures. However, despite the presence of a timetable, DA-043 does not receive any bus service from any known transportation authority or company. There are no bus routes, numbers, or destination information mentioned on the schedule.
The schedule on the display board will consistently show the expected time for the next bus arrival, indicated in 24-hour format. The time displayed corresponds to the local time in Heartford Grove, regardless of the actual current time or date. Observations and experiments have confirmed that the displayed time is always accurate and will update accordingly.
Efforts to verify the existence of a bus service in Heartford Grove or neighboring areas have yielded no results. Local transportation authorities and companies have confirmed that there are no scheduled bus services in the region that include a stop at DA-043 or any nearby location.
Addendum:
Experiment Log DA-043-01:
Date: ████-██-██
Procedure: Researcher D██████ approached DA-043 and observed the display board.
Results: The display board showed the next bus arrival time as 14:35. Despite waiting for the indicated time, no bus arrived at DA-043.
Experiment Log DA-043-02:
Date: ████-██-██
Procedure: Researcher D██████ adjusted the time on their wristwatch to 14:35 and approached DA-043.
Results: Upon reaching DA-043, the display board updated to show the next bus arrival time as 16:18. Researcher D██████ waited until the indicated time but no bus arrived.
Experiment Log DA-043-03:
Date: ████-██-██
Procedure: Researcher D██████, wearing a hidden camera, approached DA-043 and observed the display board.
Results: The display board showed the next bus arrival time as 11:11. As Researcher D██████ continued to observe, the time on the display board changed to 11:12. The discrepancy between the time displayed on DA-043 and the actual time on Researcher D██████'s wristwatch increased by approximately one minute every five minutes. No bus arrived during the observation period.
Experiment Log DA-043-04:
Date: ████-██-██
Procedure: E-20382, an E-Class personnel, was instructed to approach DA-043 and tamper with the display board.
Results: As E-20382 attempted to remove the display board, they experienced intense discomfort and pain, describing it as a burning sensation on contact with the display board's surface. E-20382 quickly retracted their hand, leaving no physical damage. The display board remained unaltered.
Further experiments are ongoing to investigate the nature and limitations of DA-043's anomalous properties.
Note: DA-043 does not pose an immediate threat and does not require extensive containment procedures. However, research into its origin, purpose, and potential connections to anomalous phenomena is ongoing.
