DA-053 - “The Folf”

Subject Class: Dangerous/Unpredictable

Secure Containment Guidelines:

DA-053 is to be contained within a specially designed habitat measuring 100 meters by 100 meters at Site-██. The habitat must be equipped with a secure perimeter fence and surveillance cameras to monitor the subjects at all times. The enclosure should be large enough to accommodate the natural behavior and movements of DA-053. The containment area must be maintained by a team of dedicated animal handlers and veterinary personnel. Access to DA-053's habitat is restricted to authorized personnel only.

Description:

DA-053 refers to a pair of anomalous canids, specifically a red fox (Vulpes vulpes) and a grey wolf (Canis lupus), sharing a symbiotic relationship. This unique combination has given rise to a new species, commonly referred to as a "Folf." Both the fox and the wolf possess typical physical characteristics of their respective species, but their size is approximately 1.5 times larger than the average specimens. DA-053 has displayed heightened intelligence and cognitive abilities beyond that of non-anomalous foxes and wolves.

DA-053 exhibits a strong bond, engaging in cooperative hunting, territorial defense, and mutual grooming. Their behavior demonstrates a high level of coordination and strategic planning, leading researchers to believe that a form of telepathic communication exists between the two entities. The exact nature and range of this communication are still under investigation.

The primary anomalous properties of DA-053 manifest during instances of emotional distress or when provoked. When threatened, DA-053 can emit a low-frequency auditory signal, audible only to humans within a 5-meter radius. This signal induces extreme fear, panic, and disorientation in affected individuals, often leading to a heightened fight-or-flight response. The intensity of the effect varies depending on the proximity and sensitivity of the individuals. Prolonged exposure to the signal may result in psychological trauma.

DA-053 also possesses the ability to regenerate injuries at an accelerated rate. Wounds, including deep lacerations, fractures, and internal injuries, heal rapidly without the need for medical intervention. This regenerative ability extends to both DA-053 entities, and injuries inflicted on one will also heal on the other.

Due to the potential for the auditory signal to cause harm and the possibility of unauthorized individuals attempting to exploit DA-053's regenerative abilities, containment procedures must be strictly followed.

Addendum:

Observation has revealed that DA-053 exhibits an unusually long lifespan, estimated to be three times longer than non-anomalous foxes and wolves. Additionally, offspring produced by DA-053 pairs have shown anomalous traits, but only when both parents are DA-053 entities.

Research is ongoing to understand the origin and mechanisms behind DA-053's unique abilities, as well as the implications of their telepathic communication.
