DA-070 - “The Fusion Stapler"

Object Class: Safe

Secure Containment Guidelines:
DA-070 is to be stored in a standard containment locker at Site-██ when not in use for testing or research purposes. Access to DA-070 requires Level 2 clearance or higher, and any personnel handling the object must undergo training regarding its anomalous effects.

Description:

DA-070 appears to be an ordinary stapler of unknown make and model, measuring approximately 15 centimeters in length and weighing 200 grams. Its external appearance is unremarkable, with no discernible anomalies or markings. However, when used, DA-070 exhibits anomalous effects.

When an object, regardless of its material composition or size, is stapled using DA-070, the stapling process results in a permanent and remarkably strong fusion between the stapled objects. The bond formed is nearly impossible to break without causing severe damage to the objects involved. Attempts to separate the stapled objects through physical force, cutting, or any other means have proven unsuccessful.

DA-070 also possesses a cognitohazardous property, affecting the perception and intent of the user. When attempting to staple objects together, DA-070 appears to analyze the intended purpose or function of the objects and incorporates a whimsical or unexpected combination. The resulting combination often features properties or characteristics related to the fused objects.

While some combinations may be harmless or amusing, caution must be exercised due to the potential for hazardous or anomalous effects. Notable examples include:

  • Stapling a live insect to a small explosive device resulted in an "insect bomb" that, when activated, released a swarm of explosive beetles.
  • Combining a pocket mirror and a photograph of an individual led to the creation of a "reflection portal" that allowed access to alternate dimensions when activated.
  • Fusing a pair of scissors and a medical syringe formed a "needleblade" that injected a potent paralytic agent upon cutting human flesh.

Due to the unpredictable nature of DA-070's combinations and potential risks involved, experimentation and use are restricted to controlled environments by authorized personnel. Any new combinations or hazardous effects discovered must be documented and reported to Site-██ for further analysis.

Further research is ongoing to understand the nature of DA-070 and any potential applications for containment or neutralization of other anomalous objects.
