DA-118 - “The Rock That Adapts”
Object Class: Safe
Secure Containment Guidelines:
DA-118 is to be securely stored in a climate-controlled chamber with the capability to simulate a wide range of environmental temperatures. Regular monitoring and adjustments are necessary to prevent any unintended fluctuations in the chamber's internal conditions. Access to DA-118 requires approval from the Site Supervisor, and experimentation involving extreme temperature settings must be conducted under controlled conditions within designated testing areas.
Description:
DA-118 is a unique geological specimen displaying anomalous thermoreactive properties. When exposed to different environmental temperatures, the rock undergoes significant changes in its own temperature. During observation in Iceland, DA-118 registered a surface temperature of approximately 60°C (140°F). Conversely, when placed in the Australian Outback, it manifested a temperature of approximately -22°C (-7.6°F).
This thermoreactive behavior appears to be in direct response to the surrounding climate, suggesting an adaptive quality. Further research is ongoing to understand the underlying mechanisms governing these temperature shifts.
Addendum:
Experimentation with DA-118 is ongoing to explore potential applications or implications of its unique properties. Researchers are advised to exercise caution and adhere to Secure Containment Guidelines when handling DA-118 to avoid unintended consequences or environmental disturbances.
